When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake.
And the earth discharges its burdens.
And man says, "What is [wrong] with it?"
That Day, it will report its news.
Because your Lord has commanded it.
That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,
And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.
Surah Zalzalah was one of my favorites to recite, it had a pattern to it, there was a rhyming scheme, it was quick
I never thought deeply about how morbid it was though lol
The strong consonants and patterns are almost meant to emulate an earthquake
On the inevitable day the earth will shake and it will purge everyone’s actions
I feel like this planet is like a steaming pot, building up so much that eventually the lid will fly clean off
and maybe people are like that too
every action we do, whether its an atom’s weight, is an experience our life builds on
and as we all know, our lives are limited, and so are the experiences in it
eventually we will all reach our boiling points
and I think that perspective would make us more mindful of how we live our lives
